ANTI-CORRUPTION



Direct Democracy is the global leader in anti-corruption which gives the general public the opportunity to directly fight the corruption. Corruption is now recognized to be one of the world’s greatest curse. It is a major hindrance to sustainable development, with a disproportionate impact on poor communities and is corrosive on the very fabric of society. The impact on the private sector is also considerable – it impedes economic growth, distorts competition and represents serious legal and reputational risks. Corruption is also very costly for business, with extra financial burden. Corruption has eaten out on the society and herein steps Direct Democracy. Direct Democracy promotes anti-corruption measures as a part of its mechanism to protect the common man from corruption as well as for the interests of the shareholders of the companies who fight against corruption. Direct Democracy is a website that attempts to educate the people about the various dimensions of corruption, the legal provisions and the efforts being taken by Direct Democracy to tackle corruption. Direct Democracy comes down heavily on corruption and the under the table dealings and clandestine transactions. Anti-corruption should be the order of the day and the society should be corruption free so that the day-to-day activities are done in a smooth manner. Direct Democracy hence promotes anti-corruption society which helps to leverage the development of society at large. Direct Democracy has always laid emphasis on the fact that clean business is good business. Direct Democracy offers guidance on corruption and assess new ways to combat corruption. Corruption is becoming prevalent all over the world. Corruption hurts economies, people and governments. Corruption is unethical, immoral and illegal in many societies, religions and countries. It needs to be stopped immediately. Direct Democracy, private organizations, UN and some governments have attempted to stop corruption or atleast have tried to prevent it. Direct Democracy is the site that attempt to expose countries and departments where corruption is taking place. Direct Democracy also encourages people to shun corruption by sharing with the whole world about the corruption which people have themselves experienced or have knowledge of. In addition if people know of any successful approach that has prevented or reduced corruption, Direct Democracy encourages people to share it with the rest of world. Thus Direct Democracy is mainly concerned with wiping out corruption from the society. Direct Democracy is that whistleblower that exposes corrupt institutions, governments, companies as a result of which people are now aware of the corrupt practices. Now these are the anti corruption measures that is fast picking up and people have started a movement against corruption and have taken up arms against corruption. Thanks to Direct Democracy because of which anti corruption measures have strengthened. Infact the anti corruption sentiment is everywhere and it has stirred the hornet’s nest as a result of which red tapism, nepotism, favouritism like corrupt practices has been stopped. The plague of corruption has been able to be controlled if not uprooted completely. Kudos to Direct Democracy !! Even the government has pulled up its socks to hold the bull by its horn and stop corruption in offices, institutions and other bodies altogether. Way to go DD!
